Koso Boost Bootle

La Koso boost Bootle est le must en matière de poumon de reprise.
Elle est concu en aluminium est est anodizer Bleue ce qui donne un look très racing une fois monté.
Sont principe est simple, il garde les échos de gaz non brulé pour les restitué au moment de l'accélération.

Montable sur n'importe quel Walbro, les performances apporté sont plus ou moins importante selon le degré de préparation moteur et sa cylindrée.

Ici, si je regarde l'eclairage et la qualite, je dirais que c'est id10t qui l'as prise.

Faut essayer de monter cette pieces sur une tam au lieu de la juice boxe !

C'est la meme chose! Ca marche de la meme maniere.

Oui mais la capaité du resevoire a l'air bien plus grand !

Et c'est plus jolie !

La capacite du reservoir ne change rien a l'effet. En fait il semblerait qu'il faille un volume 2,5 fois superieur a celui du cylindre seulement.

La juice box est mieux integree au moteur, ca devrait minimiser les risques d'arrachage, de mauvaises fixations...

There are different designs of such devices and some work on different principals. The common chamber attached with a length of flexible tubing we are most familiar with in reality works as a sort of muffler by adding volume to the intake tract without adding length to the path the fuel/air charge follows.

Think of this simple demonstration. Use a short length or cardboard tube about 12 inches long and maybe 3 inches in diameter. Now hold it to you mouth and yell through it. The sound that comes out the end wont be altered too much.

Now about halfway on the length of that 12" long tube, cut a hole and add a 3 foot long piece closed off at one end. You end up with a sort of T shaped gizmo. Essentially, the added 3 foot long piece is a dead-end since its closed off. Now yell in the end of the 12" section again and you'll notice the sound has been muffled considerably.

The added volume has attenuated the sound energy. Its a similar principal with a boost bottle. There is a powerful pulse wave that emits from the intake side of the cylinder with very revolution of the crank. That pulse travels backward out the carb momentarily causing an overly rich fuel condition within a certain rpm range. Adding the boost bottle helps attenuate that energy so the carb works more efficiently across the engine's operating range.

There are design factors that make a boost bottle more effective such as the correct volume and inside diameter of the connecting tubing. Many designs I've seen use fittings and tubing with too small an inside diameter. My research has shown me that a minimum inside diameter of roughly 1/3 to 1/2 the carb bore is most effective with a chamber volume of around 1 to 1-1/2 times the cylinder displacement.

The few Juice Boxes I've experience with have too small a chamber volume IMO and are just a pretty piece of billet.
